Our residential project in Caulfield involved approximately 800 sqm of below-ground waterproofing for a dry basement structure.
For this project, we utilised the SikaProof A+ system, one of our preferred waterproofing solutions for high-performance basement applications. SikaProof A+ is a fully bonded sheet membrane system specifically designed to prevent lateral water migration between the membrane and concrete structure, providing exceptional long-term protection against water ingress.
A key advantage of the system is its fully heat-welded seams combined with the full bond achieved between the membrane and the concrete substrate. This significantly reduces the risk of water tracking behind the membrane and makes water ingress — even in the unlikely event of minor damage or a pinhole — extremely difficult.
The system delivers a highly reliable waterproofing solution for critical below-ground structures requiring long-term dry basement performance.
