High-performance, root-resistant waterproofing for living roofs — engineered for your structure, fully sealed, and built to support plant life for decades.
A living roof is only as good as the system beneath it.
WHY GREEN ROOFS ARE DIFFERENT
A green roof asks more of waterproofing than almost any other structure. The membrane sits permanently under soil, water and roots — wet, loaded, and out of sight. Once the planting goes on, a failure is buried and expensive to reach. We install root-resistant, fully bonded systems designed to last the life of the roof
WHY GO GREEN
More than a garden on top.
A green roof does far more than look good. Done right, it pays you back in protection, comfort and running costs for the life of the building.
Protects the membrane — shields your waterproofing from UV and temperature swings, often doubling its lifespan.
Cooler building — natural insulation that cuts heating and cooling costs year-round.
Manages stormwater — soil and plants soak up rain and slow run-off into the drains.
Quieter inside — the extra mass dampens outside noise.
Cleaner air & biodiversity — brings greenery and habitat to otherwise dead space.
Usable, beautiful space — turns a bare roof into somewhere people want to be.

Two ways to build a green roof.
CHOOSE THE RIGHT APPROACH
Every roof is different, but the rule underneath them all is the same: the membrane has to live with roots for decades. That's what sets a green roof apart from ordinary waterproofing.
We don't rely on standard liquid-applied membranes under planting — roots find any pinhole, lap or hairline crack and grow straight through, and once water gets in beneath a planted roof the leak is buried and slow to trace. Instead we install root-resistant sheet membranes, with a dedicated root barrier where the system calls for it, so the garden above can never compromise the seal below. From there the question isn't which plants — it's how much weight, depth and maintenance your structure can carry.
“Extensive”
The extensive green roof
A lightweight, low-maintenance layer of hardy plants — typically sedums, grasses and groundcovers — in a shallow growing medium. Light enough for most existing roofs, it greens the space and protects the membrane with minimal upkeep.
Shallow growing layer, low weight
Hardy, drought-tolerant planting — little maintenance
Shallow, contained roots — gentler on the membrane below
Ideal where access is limited or the roof isn't built for heavy loads
The intensive green roof
“Intensive”
A deeper, richer system that behaves like a true rooftop garden — supporting shrubs, lawns, even trees, with paths and seating. It needs a structure designed for the load and regular maintenance, but delivers a fully usable landscape.
Deep growing medium — supports lawn, shrubs & trees
Deeper, more aggressive roots — demands the most robust root-resistant build-up
A genuine usable garden — paths, seating, planting beds
Requires structural capacity & ongoing care
How will the roof be used? That's the real deciding factor. A simple green blanket that protects the building and needs almost no attention, or a full rooftop garden people can live in — we match the build-up to your structure and your goals. Many projects land on a semi-intensive mix of both.
